The UL1101-001 introduces one of UNION's most poetic surface treatments: Unifrost. This process — applied exclusively to cast aluminium — creates a fine, crystalline matte texture that resembles frost settled on a window at dawn. Under different light conditions, the surface shifts between a warm silver and a cool grey, alive to the quality of the room it inhabits. Unlike polished or hairline surfaces, Unifrost does not reflect sharp highlights; it diffuses light softly across its entire plane, giving the handle an almost organic, stone-like quality.
At 165 mm — the longest lever in this collection — the UL1101-001 commands attention through scale. Its generous sweep makes it the natural choice for full-height doors, grand residential entries, and hospitality lobbies where the first point of physical contact with a space deserves to be memorable. Produced by UNION Corporation Japan since 1946, with the Unifrost anodising process refined in Osaka to exacting tolerances.
