Nambu-Tetsu is a traditional casting technique with a 400-year history, celebrated for producing ironware of exceptional quality and artistic integrity. Each UL1070-001 handle is a product of this legacy, with a unique, textured surface that feels both substantial and organic to the touch. This texture is known as ARAHADA, which translates to “rough skin” or “coarse texture,” a hallmark of traditional Nambu-Tetsu casting. The handle is then treated with a durable Baked Finish, Black, a heat-treated coating that provides a deep, matte-black color, enhancing the raw, beautiful texture of the cast iron.
