The UL1088-001 is one of UNION's most architecturally ambitious lever handles. Formed by cast aluminium — a process that allows complex, organic curvatures impossible to achieve with tubular steel — each piece emerges from its mould with a raw, mineral quality. It is then blasted with fine abrasive media to reveal a micro-textured surface before undergoing hard anodising: an electrochemical process that permanently converts the outermost layer of aluminium into aluminium oxide, creating a surface harder than many steels.
