Differences between Stainless Steel 202 304 316

Let’s be clear with one thing first, Iron steels regularly have the same component of iron and carbon and with special components it will become another type of steel.

Have you ever thought of, Is there any Grading or something to tell how good is stainless steel ? or What are the differences between Stainless steel 202 and 304 ? or it can be just What is the stainless steel 316 ? 

There are 3 mainly 3 types of stainless steel which are Stainless steel 202, 304 and 316. Each grading type is slightly different in the alloy composition and from the percentage of each component it changes slightly in terms of physical characteristics. And that’s how stainless steel grading is defined as numbers 202, 304 and 316.

Stainless steel 202 is the lowest in all grades if you compare it roughly with 304 and 316 in terms of corrosion rating. The good point about 202 is that it has less weight and it is the cheapest and not commonly used due to corrosion resistance and it leads to a limited environment unless it is being used in the environment with less traffic and the humidity and to reduce cost of construction if it met the requirement usage.

Stainless steel 304 and 316 share the same composition “but” what are the main differences are that 316 contains Molybdenum. Molybdenum is an alloy that boosts the corrosion resistance to stainless steel if it needs to be used in a place where the environment might create rust drastically. And to be exact compared to 304, 304 is mostly selected for most environments and you could say it. IT IS MORE PRACTICAL. While 304 may not reach that higher quality of anti-rust compared to 316.

คุณเคยคิดหรือตั้งคำถามไหม? ว่า มันมีเกรด หรืออะไรไหมที่บอกว่า สแตนเลสนี้ดียังไง ? หรือ ข้อแตกต่างของ 202 กับ 304 คืออะไร ?  หรืออาจจะเป็น สแตนเลส 316 คืออะไร ?

สแตนเลสถูกแบ่งออกเป็น 3 เกรด หลักๆ คือ แสตนเลส 202, 304 และ 316. แต่ละเกรด มีข้อแตกต่างกันเพียงเล็กน้อย ในส่วนของเปอร์เซ็น องค์ประกอบของส่วนประกอบต่างๆ และเพียงเล็กน้อย ก็ทำให้ เกิดข้อแตกต่างในด้านของ ลักษณะภายนอก และคุณสมบัติอื่นเพิ่มเติม และนั้นทำให้มีการวัด เกรดของ สแตนเลสออกมา โดยใช้ตัวเลข 202, 304 และ 316

สแตนเลส 202 คือเหล็กเกรดต่ำกว่า เกรดอีกสองระดับ ถ้าเทียบกันคร่าวๆ กับ 304 และ 316 ในเชิงของการ ขึ้นสนิมในตัวสแตนเลส แต่ 202 ก็ยังมีข้อดี ในส่วนของน้ำหนักที่น้อยกว่า และ ราคาถูกที่สุดอีกด้วย แต่ 202 ก็ยังไม่เป็นที่นิยม เพราะด้วยตัว 202 เอง ที่การใช้งาน ในสภาพแวดล้อมได้จำกัด นอกเสียจากว่า 202 จะถูกไปใช้งานในสภาพแวดล้อมที่มีการสัมผัสน้อย หรือ ความชื้นต่ำ เพื่อลดต้นทุนในการผลิต หรือใช้วัสดุ 

แสตนเลส 304 และ 316 แชร์องค์ประกอบ ที่เหมือนกัน “แต่” สิ่งที่แตกต่างกันอย่างสิ้นเชิ้ง นั้นก็คือ 316 มีส่วนประกอบของ Molybdenum (โมลิบดีนัม : ธาตุโลหะทรานซิชั่น) Molybdenum คือธาตุโลหะ ที่จะเพิ่ม ความต้านทานต่อการเกิดสนิมขึ้นบนสแตนเลส นั้นทำให้ 304 สมารถนำไปใช้งาน สภาพแวดล้อมที่มีแนวโน้มก่อเกิดการเป็นสนิมได้ง่าย และถ้าจะให้เทียบ 304 กันง่ายๆ 304 คือตัวเลือกที่ใช้ได้กับ สภาพแวดล้อมโดยทั่วไป หรือ อาจจะพูดกันง่ายๆเลยก็ได้ว่ามัน ใช้งไปจริงๆ ! แต่ทั้งานได้ทั่วนี้ 304 ไม่สามารถ เทียบได้ถึง เปอร์เซ็นต์การเกิดสนิม ของ 316 ได้เลย
